mushin no shin (無心の心) a Zen expression meaning the mind without mind acting on instinct without emotion or judgement, going with the flow of the moment.
The name Takuan is taken from Zen master Takuan Sōhō - I've not read up on the philosophies or the person beyond a quick visit to Wiki.
